Yoga and the Chakras.
Did you know that our Yoga practice is not only good for the mental and physical bodies, but also for our energetic body and Chakra system?
Yoga practices, such as asana, pranayama, meditation and chanting provide a tool to unblock and re-balance our Chakras. Allowing for the flow of Life Force energy to move freely through the energy channels.
This movement of Life Force energy, is similar to what occurs during a Reiki session. The practitioner will channel Universal Life Force energy.. or in yogic philosophy, what is considered ‘Prana’, allowing for stagnant energy to be released from the energy channels and Chakras.
In our Yoga practice, each asana (pose) has a relationship with one or several Chakras, specifically working with those energy centres to clear blocks and bring balance and harmony.
This relationship between yoga and the energetic body is why you leave your practice feeling uplifted and energised! Compared to other forms of exercise, where you might feel tired and exhausted.
The mind, body, spirit relationship in Yoga, is what makes it so open to being able to introduce Reiki into the practice. Whether you are an occasional Yogi or a dedicated Yoga Teacher, Reiki can be a beautiful addition to your daily Sadahana.
Integrating Reiki energy into your Yoga practice can be as simple as channeling Reiki during your practice - amplifying the effect of the breath, or by channelling Reiki during Savasana, which is honestly, pure MAGIC!
The combining effects of using Reiki and Yoga together, brings greater energetic releases, deepened connection to your intuition and an overall feeling of “weightlessness” after your practice!
